Under Construction

We originally liked the idea of a central walkway the full length of the van with an expandable sofa on one side and a counter level galley on the other. After our quick version 1.0, which was a sheet of 3/4″ plywood cut to fit transverse across the back of the van, we realized we would lose a very significant amount of storage space under the bed between the wheel wells. So we switched our floor plan goal to a rear bed with a galley extending into the slider doorway on the passenger side. On the driver’s side, from the driver’s seat backward, we placed our refrigerator with a small counter top, with a small footprint microwave mounted on the counter, leaving enough counter space for a laptop when the driver’s seat is facing rearward. Between the fridge and the bed is the toilet/seat.
