We woke up on Friday and decided “there’s no place like home” to be ill, so we broke out the ruby slippers and went home. Laura is still struggling with her Bell’s palsy symptoms, especially the vertigo, and can’t really enjoy watching wildlife. DR’s cough is there every morning and each day a little worse. So before things could get worse and after two days of over fifteen hours on the road, we are home safe, if not so sound.
We did get to see a crested caracara between Aransas and San Antonio. DR really wanted to see a caracara this trip, so we ended on a good note.
By the way, TEXAS IS A HUGE, REALLY HUGE.
Love to all,
DR & Laura
