Beaver, UT to Rock Springs, WY

We slept in at the Beaver truck stop. We decided to not take the scenic back roads to cousin Cheryl’s, our next stop, and take the freeways. Laura had not been to Salt Lake City. So we detoured to see the Mormon Temple and Tabernacle. It was a mad house and we wanted to get to cousin Cheryl’s in time to visit for a while, as we were only able to spend one night with her and her husband, Ron. So we just did several laps in the van around the block of the Mormon complex. Here is the main temple with a golden Gabriel blowing his horn.

 Our phones routed us back to the highway via a very circuitous route, whick took us by the Utah State Capital building.

We arrived at cousin Cheryl and Ron’s a couple hours later than we had planned. As usual their hospitality was top notch and we had a delicious buffet salad. It’s not easy accomodating DR’s extreme diets. It’s nice that us cousins have stayed close.
