From the Chrestman’s the objective was to reach the Canadian border via Coeur D’Alene. We made it as far as Drummond Montana before DR declared that he was tired of driving. So we found a $6 a night camping spot next to a rodeo arena and hunkered down for the night. We even had the elements wash the van for us as a thunderstom passed over us in the night. We slept well and long.
P.S. It was on this leg that we saw our first moose.
Glad you two are having a fun, interesting time and good visits with friends. I remember on our big road trip we saw things we never would have as our GPS (whom we named “Loopy”) on my $10.00 cell phone took us through many beautiful back roads…lots of corn fields! Being “on holiday” where there is no time schedule most of the time allows you to have those great unexpected wanderings and findings. And yes, the Master’s paintings are breathtaking! Love you both……..
